![]() In a report from Business Insider, Blizzard Entertainment has stated that cross-platform play is indeed in the works with a subtle hint, “It’s a question of when, not if.” While the statement does seem vague, there’s a likely chance that we could see consoles getting their very own version of in order to play games together. Luckily for fans, it seems that Blizzard isn’t scared to take advantage of Sony having torn their cross-play barriers and has since decided to open up an entirely new player base for Diablo III. In addition to its six other platforms its available on, the Nintendo Switch will be the seventh in total that can play Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition. According to Stilwell, It’s not available at this time. With the upcoming release on Nintendo Switch landing here rather soon, as we reported early last month. In an interview with Eurogamer, Blizzard’s Pete Stilwell confirmed that Diablo 3 on the Switch will not have cross-platform support, but also stated that they are interested in pursuing that idea. During the discussion, the representative specifically mentioned cross-console play and said nothing of PC.
